Supporting Londoners with housing - consultation

Law for Life is conducting a consultation to try to understand the needs of trusted intermediaries and grassroots organisations regarding housing issues in London. Specifically, the consultation aims to collect information on people’s training needs and developing modules on:

  • issues that private renters face during the cost of living emergency,
  • issues that people in temporary accommodation face, and
  • the structure and form of the training courses.

In the next two years, we will develop and deliver legal education courses on housing rights for London-based organisations. We want to make sure that the content is targeted towards the needs of the participants, and that the courses take place in a time and format that suits them. If you are a trusted intermediary or a grassroots organisation based in London, we would be grateful if you could take the time to share and fill in this brief questionnaire regarding your training needs at https://bit.ly/3kaCOSm

The consultation is for two projects that have received generous funding from Trust for London and the Oak Foundation. The project aimed at improving access to information and understanding of the legal rights of Londoners living in temporary accommodation will be delivered in partnership with the Public Interest Law Centre. The consultation will be open for one month from 16th January 2023 to 16th February 2023. Those who sign up will have the option to be contacted when course enrollment begins.
