A Warm Welcome to Fiona Edwards, Our New Chair of the Trustee Board!

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Fiona Edwards as the new Chair of the Board at Law for Life. Fiona brings with her a wealth of experience and a profound dedication to public service, making her an outstanding addition to our team as we continue our mission to increase access to justice.

Fiona is currently the Chief Executive for Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care Board. Her leadership in this capacity has been instrumental in driving positive changes and improving healthcare services. Prior to this, Fiona served as the Chief Executive of Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and she has been a Chief Executive in the NHS for over 23 years.

Her extensive career also spans the private, voluntary, and not-for-profit sectors. Fiona has made significant contributions as the national Chair of Cruse Bereavement Care and as the Chair of a national supported housing organisation, helping some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in society. Additionally, she has been a Trustee of the NHS Confederation since July 2023.

Fiona’s appointment as Chair of Law for Life, effective from June 1, 2024, marks an exciting new chapter for our organisation. Her leadership and vision will be invaluable as we strive to empower individuals and communities with the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to deal effectively with their legal problems.
