Child protection - a film from a Roma parent's view

This short film captures the experiences that some Roma parents had when interacting with Children’s Services.

This is part of our multimedia toolkit that aims to improve access to justice for Roma parents going through the child protection process. See Help for Roma parents for more details.

This short film is based on a real case but we have used actors to protect the identity of the family. The film is narrated by Romanian Roma community members in Romanes.

This film was created by Law for Life and the Roma Support Group, as part of a wider project to support Roma in the context of child protection.

We will use this film in workshops about child protection for Roma parents. We also hope that the film will be used by Children’s Services to help them engage more effectively with Roma families.

Thanks to the Tudor Trust for funding this important project and to our partners at Roma Support Group.

Thanks for this!

I’ll ensure our team has access to it. I’ll also pass it on to our networks of organisations working with Roma communities.
