Lucy is a Resolution Accredited Associate solicitor at Family Law Group in Nottingham. Lucy is also the Head of Family Law Direct at Family Law Group and has responsibility for training and developing paralegals within family law. 

Lucy deals with all areas of family law and aims to work closely with her clients in a trusting environment and provide an empathic approach whilst still obtaining the best possible outcome for the client. Lucy’s clients have commented on how approachable Lucy is whilst still providing excellent results. 

Lucy has significant experience in assisting clients with children matters involving child arrangement orders (setting out where the child lives and who the child spends time with), parental responsibility, and other more specific issues. She is also able to assist where there is an urgent need for a child to be returned to a parent. She assists mothers, fathers and grandparents towards resolving matters to benefit the client whilst keeping the child’s best interest as the paramount concern.

Lucy deals with relationship breakdowns resulting in divorce and advises on financial matters associated with divorce. She drafts consent orders, court applications or separation agreements. She is able to offer advice on financial settlements and advise if parties are attending at mediation. She attends court hearings for financial remedy matters. 

Lucy assists and supports clients with advice, and attends at court with clients when domestic violence is an issue and injunctions are required. She works alongside local domestic violence support workers to assist clients. She is able to offer a supportive and knowledgeable service for clients who are victims of domestic abuse. The domestic abuse suffered would potentially allow a client to access legal aid and Lucy feels strongly about ensuring clients who might be eligible for legal aid get the support they need. 

Lucy also assists cohabitants following relationship breakdown and advises on the best way to move forward following separation.
