Getting legal advice on other areas of your family case
You may want expert help on some areas of your case that we don't offer as part of the affordable advice project. For example, you may want help to draft a Mesher order, or a consent order, or help with something else. Where we don't offer help as part of the service it is because the amount of help different people will need will vary greatly, and so the solicitors on our panel can not offer a fixed price without risking making it unfair on people who need less help.
If you are in this position, you can still ask one of our panel for their help.
They will work out what help you need and let you know how they will charge for their work.
The price solicitors on our panel can offer may vary according to whereabouts in the country they are and the firm they work for, so you may want to ask more than one solicitor about their prices.
